Brynn Smith's journey weaves together the worlds of elite athletics, entrepreneurship, and personal development. As a decorated athlete who earned four-sport Athletic Hall of Fame recognition and collegiate All-American honors, she learned early the power of dedication and mental fortitude—lessons that would shape her future path.
Following her competitive athletic career, Brynn channeled her drive into the fast-paced fields of marketing and technology. Over two decades, she's worked with scrappy startups and entrepreneurs building seven-figure businesses, as well as iconic brands like Nike and Jack Daniel's.
Her passion for performance excellence led her to become a Certified High Performance Coach, where she works with ambitious leaders, business owners, elite athletes, and Olympians, helping them cultivate more integrated and conscious lives that balance ambition with fulfillment. Since 2005, she's also shared her competitive wisdom as a youth sports coach.
Today, Brynn lives in the mountains of rural central Oregon in a home she spent six years building alongside her husband and father, Ron Cogdill. As a mother of two active boys, she navigates the demanding roles of parent, coach, and business leader with the same determination that defined her athletic career.
Ron Cogdill wore many hats over his remarkable career—championship winning Track & Field coach, elementary school teacher for over 30 years, and later, Christmas tree farmer and published author.
A natural builder, Ron crafted six distinct homes throughout his life, each one harmonizing with its surroundings, from river and lake retreats to mountain sanctuaries. Three of these homes he built with his children, reflecting his dedication to family and his deep connection to rural landscapes.
As a coach, Ron transformed his small rural elementary school into a training ground for state and national record-holding athletes and teams. Without access to a formal track, he relied on creativity and resourcefulness to build champions. His own children thrived under his guidance, with his daughter Brynn and his youngest son both earning state championship titles in high school and All-American honors in college.
Today, Ron resides along a quiet river in the Pacific Northwest with his wife of over 45 years, weaving his experiences in coaching, building, and family life into his writing. When he's not crafting stories, you'll find him on the sidelines cheering for his five grandchildren, continuing his legacy of athletic mentorship into a third generation.
